How do I care for my bag?

Our bags are durable, yes, just not indestructible. Look after yours using these few Totem-approved pointers and see how it does the same for you for many more kilometers to come:

  • Keep the maximum carry weight in mind: 6 kgs for medium bags, 8 kgs for large bags
  • Never overstuff your bag’s compartments
  • Always distribute your carry load evenly by using both your bag’s shoulder straps
  • Use your bag’s base for what it was built for by always resting it upright
  • Avoid leaving your bag in direct sunlight for long periods
  • Only wash your bags and accessories by hand using a mild detergent and a soft sponge
  • Rinse with cool water and dry out of direct sunlight
  • To preserve the integrity of your trolley bags, prevent damage to the webbing by ensuring the straps are unclipped and tucked away rather than dragging along the floor when used in trolley mode. Avoid causing dents to the telescope handle, as this may lead to it becoming stuck. This risk increases, for example, when the back of the bag is struck against stairs. Additionally, refrain from exerting excessive force on the handle to prevent breakage. Always store the bag upright on its stable base.
